ROTOR SYNDROM is
Roger "Ro-G" Baumer & Marcus Perroud

Ever heard of rock'n'roll, suckers?

Since the days when Link Wray recorded "Rumble", an instrumental song which was later banned in some states of the U. S. of A., and which was the first song that included a distorted electroacoustic instrument (a guitar), NOISE has been an integral part of modern popular music. "Rumble" was almost 45 years ago, and as you can imagine, the cutting edge of rock'n'roll has gone a long way since then.

Of course, ROTOR SYNDROM's music doesn't sound like rock'n'roll, but it certainly feels like it! ROTOR SYNDROM (perhaps better described as the ROARING edge of r'n'r) take full advantage of the whole range of electronic soundproducing devices that is available today. Combined with their skills as genuine musicians, and a very abstract approach to rhythm, they create a sonic experience that certainly is of most mindblowing (and stomachblowing) nature. They use their instruments as scientific tools to investigate possible forms of future rock'n'roll, and you, as their audience, are the guinea pigs!

The rock'n'roll tradition, dear music lovers, is a great thing, and as ROTOR SYNDROM show us, it's got absolutely NOTHING to do with tightswearing phallocentric pig rockers or guitartootling "good taste" humanist hippies. ROTOR SYNDROM are much closer to the wonderful world of SONIC WARFARE than to the artistic abysses of the music industry with its recycled dummies.

ROTOR SYNDROM create a totally drilling, intense, unique WALL OF SOUND that is not for the fainthearted. You see, compared to a lot of other "industrial" stuff, there is absolutely no esoteric element or whatever in their sound. There is no relaxation or dreaming, since their music always throws your thoughts back to your own body. Very physical indeed. If you've got an open mind and are anxious to hear what the future might sound like, their concerts will have a cutting effect on you! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

And, of course, it's a highway to hell!?
