Ariane V are: C. Schulz (synthesizer, drum computer, feedbacks), A. Knapp (steel percussions, tools), and O.Thiele (e-drums, vocals).
Originally formed as an ad hoc project in May 1996 the band "Ariane V" became a regular formation with steady members following the first performance.
The entirely electronic base of Ariane V compositions consist of structured feedbacks and harsh drums. To this base distortet steel percussions and aggressive vocals are added.
Ariane V use the sonic and visual elements of their live performances to create a vision of mindless creativity fuelled by the blind faith in technical progess and thereby reduce it to absurdity.

Combining the output of keyboards, synthesizers, drum computer, and other electronic effects, the three band members create electronic sounds with a distant semblance of techno music, called "Technical Industrial (Music)". The music of Ariane V is mainly composed of feedbacks, i.e. bass, distortions and other sound effects. The compositions are dominated by dark drowning sounds produced by steel sheets, a Digeridoo and a sledge-hammer...
